Summary:
Project CHANGE is a practical simulation game that tasks players with managing a household's daily operations while making decisions to improve sustainability. The game combines resource management, strategy, and real-world sustainability concepts to create an engaging educational experience. Players must balance household finances, energy consumption, and character needs while investing in eco-friendly upgrades to enhance the household's quality of life and environmental footprint.

Core Gameplay Mechanics:
Project CHANGE revolves around managing household information through a system that simulates real-world scenarios. Players influence key variables like finances, energy use, and character needs, making strategic decisions to maintain the household's well-being and improve sustainability.

Controls:
The control system is designed for efficiency, allowing players to navigate between rooms, access the shop, and engage in various mini-games with ease. Time controls, heating and lighting adjustments, and appliance interactions are straightforward, enabling players to optimize energy use and comfort.

Progression System:
Players progress by balancing the household budget and implementing eco-friendly upgrades. Success in mini-games earns points that unlock "mindsets," which automate beneficial household behaviors and further improve efficiency and sustainability.

Mini-Games

Bins Sorting Challenge:
Players sort household waste into appropriate bins within a set time, promoting proper waste management and contributing to the household's sustainability score.

Eco Dream Catcher:
In this mini-game, players catch positive eco-friendly thoughts while avoiding negative ones, reinforcing sustainable choices and earning mindset points.

Sustainability Knowledge Test:
A quiz-based mini-game that assesses and enhances the player’s knowledge of eco-friendly practices, rewarding correct answers with mindset points that unlock new sustainable behaviours.

Systems

Time & Calendar:
The game simulates real-world time, influencing energy consumption, monthly bills, events, and character routines. The day-night cycle and weather conditions are integrated with this system, adding realism to the gameplay.

Household Management:
Rooms, characters, and the household controller work together to manage temperature, finances, and character needs. Players must balance energy use with financial constraints while meeting characters’ basic needs.

Events:
The event system includes calendar-based events, weather-triggered scenarios, and random occurrences, each affecting household management.

Upgrades:
Players can invest in physical upgrades like insulation and double glazing or AI upgrades that automate energy-saving behaviors, essential for maintaining a sustainable household.
